It’s been a pretty busy couple of weeks for us getting the final few bits and pieces of our journey into MAF sorted. On Thursday last week we took to the streets of London for a medical and psychological checkup, and we are happy to report that we are both healthy and have been deemed sane (enough) for working overseas!
That means it’s full steam ahead for us now! Over the next couple of weeks we’ll be working through all the normal paperwork and other gubbins associated with starting a new job, ready to start with MAF full time in July. From then on we’ll be busy with inductions and training aplenty, along with lots of fundraising to get us there. For those who have been asking how you can support us don’t worry, as soon as we have that set up with MAF we’ll let you know.
But in the meantime please continue to pray for us! We’re currently trying to sort out how things will work with letting out our house and organising mortgages and whatnot and it’s proving to be a bit of a challenge. We have a week’s holiday in Cornwall coming up quickly as well, which we’re hoping will be a lovely restful time before everything begins in earnest.
We shall endeavour to keep you all up to date with updates to this blog, and email newsletters as well (you can sign up to our regular email updates here). If you have any questions for us please do leave a comment below or send us an email, we’d love to hear from you!
